This Decree, considering several documents related to the beekeeping sector indicated in the text, sets out the measures for extraordinary eradication and compensation of the damage caused by the outbreak of Aethina tumida (inspect, small hive beetle, generally classified as beekeeping pest). Article 1, paragraph 2 determines that following any official confirmation of infestation by Aethina tumida, in an autonomous Region or Province, destruction must be provided for all hives present in infested apiary, for all nuclei, and all bee queens or any biological material capable of conveying eggs, larvae or adults of Aethina tumida. Article 2 sets out the rules as regards the possible compensation.
