This Administrative Regulation is formulated in accordance with Article 50 (5) of the Basic Law of the Macao Special Administrative Region The Environmental Protection and Energy Conservation Fund shall be a public legal person that has administrative and financial autonomy and owns its own property. The purpose of the fund is: (1) Improve environmental quality; (2) Promote energy conservation and emission reduction; (3) Make good use of water resources; (4) Support and promote the development of environmental protection industry; (5) Support and promote measures conducive to improving the quality of life affected by the environment. The Administrative Regulation further provides for the measures for the supervision and management of the fund.
