This Decree establishes the Inter-Ministerial Working Group with the purpose of developing the National Fertilizer Plan. This Plan aims to strengthen policies to increase the competitiveness of the production and distribution of inputs and technologies for fertilizers in the country in a sustainable way, covering fertilizers, correctives, conditioners and new technologies, to reduce external dependence and expand the competitiveness of Brazilian agribusiness in the international market. The Interministerial Working Group is responsible for proposing the National Fertilizer Plan, which will consider: the analysis of national and international markets, technologies, production and infrastructure of inputs for fertilizers in agricultural systems; the analysis and monitoring of potentially risky issues, prevention of the occurrence of crises and articulation of its management, in case of serious and imminent threat to the supply of inputs for fertilizers; the proposition of actions that contribute to overcoming technological dependence in the fertilizer sector; and the proposition of actions that contribute to the increase in production and supply of inputs and fertilizer technologies for agricultural production.
