This Complementary Law establishes the State Policy for Refugees, Stateless Persons and Migrants in Rio Grande do Norte (PEARAM/RN), to be implemented across public policies and services, with the following objectives: guarantee refugees, stateless persons and migrants access to social rights and public services; promote respect for diversity and interculturality; adopt preventive measures and propose measures to confront violations of the rights of refugees, stateless persons and migrants; repudiate racism and any form of discrimination against these persons; foster social participation and develop coordinated actions with civil society organisations; promote the dissemination of public policies aimed at the social, economic and family integration of refugees, stateless persons and migrants. In addition, it provides for the State Intersectoral Committee for Refugees, Stateless Persons and Migrants in Rio Grande do Norte (CERAM/RN). The Committee is entitled to: support, monitor and evaluate the implementation of the State Policy PEARAM/RN, propose guidelines for its implementation; promote the exchange of positive practices and the overcoming of challenges in the care of refugees, stateless persons and migrants living in Rio Grande do Norte; contribute to the implementation of public policies for the refugee, stateless and migrant population, etc.
