Decree No. 5.000 creating the State Plan for Mitigation and Adaptation to Climate Change for the Consolidation of a Low Carbon Economy in Agriculture (ABC-TO Plan).

This Decree creates the State Plan for Mitigation and Adaptation to Climate Change for the Consolidation of a Low Carbon Economy in Agriculture (ABC-TO Plan). The ABC-TO Plan aims to: I - reduce GHG emissions in the agricultural production system; II - encourage the use of sustainable technological systems in order to increase productivity and production, through the following sub-programmes: a) Recovery of Degraded Pastures; b) Crop-livestock-forest integration; c) Direct Planting System; d) Biological Nitrogen Fixation; e) Planted Forests; f) Animal Waste Treatment.
