This Law establishes the State Policy for the Development and Support of the Activities of Women Clam Harvesters in the State of Alagoas. For the purposes of this law, a clam harvester is a woman who continuously extracts shellfish from mangroves by hand, individually or as part of a family economy, in order to support herself or commercialize part of her production.
