The measure provides that the Euphausia superba fishery in Statistical Division 58.4.2 is restricted to approved methods (CM 21-03, Annex A) with a total annual catch limit of 2.645 million tonnes, subdivided into 1.448 million tonnes west of 55°E and 1.080 million tonnes east, but temporarily capped at 260,000 tonnes west and 192,000 tonnes east until smaller management unit allocations are set. The season runs from 1 December to 30 November, with mandatory seabird bycatch mitigation (CM 25-03), marine mammal exclusion devices, and at least one scientific observer (preferably two) onboard during all fishing activities. Data reporting (CM 23-06) and environmental protection rules (CM 26-01) apply, and the measure will be reviewed based on Scientific Committee advice.
