These Regulations, made under section 30 of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control Act, Cap. N1, LFN, 2004 and section 12 of the Food, Drugs and Related Products (Registration, Etc.) Act, Cap. F33. LFN, 2004, provide a regulatory framework for the regulation of the labelling of fertiliser manufactured, imported, distributed and sold in Nigeria. The Regulations concern: labelling information; name and address of manufacturer; holder of certificate of registration; description of ingredients; direction on the use and method of application; content of the active ingredients; storage conditions; trademark and brand name; precautionary statement; toxicology information; prohibition; offences and penalties.
