These Regulations, made under section 30 of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control Act, Cap. N1, LFN, 2004 and section 12 of the Food, Drugs and Related Products (Registration, Etc.) Act, Cap. F33. LFN, 2004, provide a regulatory framework for the advertisement of Animal Feed Additives manufactured, imported, exported, advertised, sold and used in Nigeria. The Regulations concern: nature of advertisement; particulars of application; caution on advertisement of animal feed additive; restriction concerning false and misleading information on label; prohibition of misleading comparison; accurate interpretation of research findings and of scientific articles; claims for animal feed additives; prohibition; offences and penalties; enforcement measures.
