This Law creates the Renewable Rural Energy Programme to support distributed electricity generation from renewable sources and the generation of biogas and biomethane in rural production units within the State of Alagoas. The Programme aims to expand the supply of energy in rural areas through the use of available sources, especially solar and biomass, stimulating the competitiveness, sustainability and efficiency of production systems and the generation of new businesses in Alagoas' agriculture.
