Order No. 638 on Nexø Wildlife Reserve.

This Order establishes the Nexø Wildlife Reserve, covering coastal areas and adjoining sea territory between Nexø and Balka, with the purpose of protecting the area as a resting, foraging and breeding site for birds. It defines the reserve boundaries by coordinates and map, prohibits hunting and the driving away of mammals and birds throughout the reserve, and prohibits carrying loaded firearms in the reserve. It also prohibits access to the coastal stretch south of Søbækken Jollehavn and its adjoining sea area, except for rescue operations, public authorities’ environmental tasks and similar activities, including necessary navigation marking. Dogs must be kept on a leash throughout the reserve. The Nature Agency may grant dispensations in special cases, its decisions cannot be appealed administratively, and it supervises compliance.
