Order No. 143 on grants for energy efficiency improvements in residential buildings used for year-round occupancy.

This Order establishes a Danish grant scheme to support energy efficiency improvements in buildings used for year-round residential occupation, with the objectives of reducing energy consumption, improving energy efficiency, and decreasing reliance on fossil fuels. Eligible beneficiaries include private homeowners, housing associations, residential property companies, and certain other owners of residential buildings, while public institutions are excluded. Grants may be awarded for measures such as external wall insulation, roof and floor insulation, replacement of windows, installation of balanced mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, and installation of water-based space-heating distribution systems. Eligibility is generally limited to buildings with lower energy-performance ratings (D-G), and projects must be approved before work begins. The Order also establishes application, verification, auditing, inspection, and repayment procedures.
