This Order establishes a grant scheme for the 2025/2026 planning period to support the implementation of agricultural measures that reduce nitrogen losses to designated coastal water catchments in Denmark. It provides financial assistance for targeted catch crops and alternative nitrogen-reducing practices, such as cover crops, energy crops, set-aside land, precision farming and other nutrient-management measures, with the aim of lowering nitrogen runoff from farmland and helping achieve water-quality objectives for vulnerable coastal waters, including fjords, bays, lagoons and other marine and estuarine areas. The Order sets out eligibility criteria, application and prioritisation procedures, payment rates, compliance obligations, control mechanisms and sanctions applicable to participating farmers and land managers.
