Zoological Parks Regulation 2025.

The Zoological Parks Regulation 2025 regulates access to and conduct on land in New South Wales where zoological parks are established or maintained by the Zoological Parks Board. The Board may determine entrance fees, designate visitors’ entrances and close zoological park land through notices, barriers or online announcements. Visitors must not enter without paying the applicable fee, use unauthorised entrances or enter or remain on closed land. Prohibited items include animals, living material that threatens animals or vegetation, scooters, skateboards, remotely controlled aircraft, balloons and liquor. The Regulation protects animals, vegetation, facilities and public safety by prohibiting obstruction of staff, excessive noise, damage, rubbish disposal outside bins, fires, unauthorised camping and interference with animals or enclosures. It restricts commercial entertainment, sales, promotional activities, public gatherings, commercial filming and specified recreational activities unless authorised by the Board. Visitors must comply with reasonable directions, including emergency evacuation instructions, and must not feed, capture, injure or disturb animals or enter or damage animal enclosures. Fishing from or mooring vessels to the Taronga “Pump” Wharf is also prohibited.
