The Prakas on the Implementation of Technical Guidelines for Calculating Compensation for Impacts from Public Water Source Pollution aims to support effective pollution reduction and applies to project owners and operators responsible for pollution sources causing direct or indirect adverse impacts on the environment, public health, the economy, society, biodiversity and ecosystems. The Prakas adopts technical guidelines specifying calculation methods for compensation, including formulas based on pollutant concentrations, wastewater discharge volumes, pollution duration and applicable rates. The guidelines also provide methods for assessing damage to water resources, aquatic ecosystems, biodiversity, natural resources and related environmental losses.
