This Act amends the Waste Management Act (No. 24/2022). Various clauses of section 8 of the Act are amended, which lay down the responsibilities of the government. Section 9 is amended, which lays down the powers and responsibilities of the environment agency. Further, sections 10, 12 and 24 are amended. A new section 24-1 in respect of formulation of industrial waste management plan is inserted after section 24 of the Act. Sections 25 and 32 are amended. A new section 35-1 is added and sections 43, 44, 47, 63, 64 and 76 are amended.
