These Regulations lay down rules as regards the procedures of application for an environment license (EL); Environment Management Plan (EMP) and EIA report required as part of the EL application; renewal and transfer of the environment license; monitoring and inspection of the licensed activity; registration of EIA consultants to be responsible for preparing Basic EIA report or Comprehensive EIA report; fees prescribed for environment license and EIA consultants; seizure of items by the environment inspector; and general offences.
