Foreign Fishing Boats Levy Act 1981.

An Act to impose a levy on the grant of certain licences in respect of foreign fishing boats. The 7 sections carry the following titles: Short title (1); Commencement (2); Interpretation (3); Imposition of levy (4); Amount of levy (5); By whom levy payable (6); Regulations (7). The Act provides for the imposition of a levy on the grant of a licence in respect of a foreign fishing boat pursuant to the Fisheries Act 1952 or the Continental Shelf (Living Natural Resources) Act 1968. The Act does not apply to the grant of licences made under an agreement between Australia and another country (sect. 4).
