Legislative Decree No. 58 laying down the sanctions to be applied in case of violation of Regulations 1760/2000/EC and 1825/2000/EC, concerning the identification and registration of bovine animals as well as the labelling of beef and beef products, in compliance with article 3 of Act No. 39 of 1 March 2002.

This Legislative Decree establishes the administrative sanctions to be applied in case of infringement of the provisions laid down in Regulation 1760/2000/EC, which sets out a system for the identification and registration of bovines, and Regulation 1825/2000/EC, which regulates the labelling of beef and beef products. Chapter I of the Legislative Decree concerns the violation of the rules relating to the identification (through particular marking systems) and registration of bovine animals; Chapter II establishes the sanctions to be applied in case of violation of the provisions concerning labelling.
