The Decree, composed of 11 articles, establishes that the Brazil Fisheries Development Programme (PDP), created as an autonomous body in 1967, integrates the basic structure of the Fisheries Development Superinendence (SUPEDE) with the name of Fisheries Research and Development Institute -PDP. The Decree defines the aims and main competences of the new established Institute and establishes its structure, composed of 3 Coordination Units (Research, Extention, Operations) under a General Coordinator.
