This Act concerns the citrus industry and the marketing of citrus fruit. The Act provides for the establishment and operation of the South Australian Citrus Industry Board and of the Citrus Industry Fund. Functions of the Board include to: promote the citrus industry and its products; plan, fund and facilitate research relevant to food safety in the citrus industry, citrus pests and diseases, production of citurs fruit, new citrus products and marketing of citrus fruit; and collect and analyse data relating to the citrus industry.
