This Regulation provides for the establishment of limits for noise control and defines noise-related terms as listed in article 4. Various noise sources and the maximum noise levels permitted from these sources are given in Annex 1 (arts. 6 to 11). Noise sources include industrial, road building and construction machinery; highway vehicles; aircraft and railroads, etc. Section 3 prescribes measures and gives basic criteria for preparing noise plans related to residential areas, highways, railroads, etc. Other noise related prohibitions are described in Section 4. The remaining part of the Regulation contains penal provisions and provisions of miscellaneous nature.
