This Regional Decree, composed of two articles and one Annex, approves the Plan for the Protection of Landscape in Pico Island (POPPVIP), with the aim of providing a coherent spatial planning in order to promote local development and, at the same time, protecting the environment and the landscape. The annexed Plan is composed of 127 articles and three annexes structured in six main Titles. Particular attention is devoted to land use restrictions, landscape use, occupation and transformation and urban planning. The annexes provide maps of the Island with the zoning of protection and restriction areas.
