The present Law lays down provisions relating to fisheries in the Free State of Saxony. In particular, equally important aims of the Law are the: 1) promotion of the sustainable exploitation of waters through fisheries; and 2) protection, conservation and development of plants and animals living in waters, including embankments. The text consists of 36 articles divided into 7 Parts as follows: General provisions (1); Fishing rights (2); Fishing practice (3); Fishery test, fishing licence (4); Protection of stock of fish (5); Fishery authorities, fishing surveillance, Fishery Ordinance, promotion of fisheries (6); Penalties, limitation of basic rights (7).
