The present Law implements the Federal Waste Water Charges Act in its version of 18 January 2005 (BGBl. I p. 114). The text consists of 48 articles divided into 5 Parts as follows: Evaluation basis and verification of harmfulness (1); Duty to pay charges (2); Competence, fixing and levying of water charges (3); Destination of collected fees and administrative costs (4); Penalties, transitional and final provisions (5).
