Ministerial Decree No. 153 validating the Regulation on the use of area-specific forestry seeds of common tree species.

This Ministerial Decree stipulates that the use of forestry seeds shall be carried out in accordance with specific forest areas and envisages the subdivision of the territory of the Russian Federation to such areas. Area of the origin of forestry seeds shall be specified in the certificate attesting variety and sowing quality of forestry seeds. The aims of area-specific forestry seeds of common tree species shall be to: (a) grow planting material; (b) effect artificial or combined reforestation; (c) create tree and shrub plantations; (d) establish federal seed stock of forest species; and (e) plant greenery.
