This Ministerial Decree establishes the modalities for temporary public management of waterworks of strategic importance to the national or regional economy, i.e. those having a dominant influence on vital activities of the population or on vital branches of the economy. Temporary public management may be introduced in cases of risk of environmental disaster. The decision on whether to begin temporary public management shall be made by local executive bodies.
