Control of Standards Act.

This Act makes provision for the declaration by the Minister of standards and the observance of such standards and other requirements related to declared standards such as labelling. A standard may be obligatory or optional. No person shall produce, sell, import, export or use in a commodity for which an obligatory standard specification has been declared, unless the commodity conforms to the requirements of that obligatory standard specification. A standard specification shall be issued by the Barbados National Standards Institution.
