With a view to Manitoba’s economic and environmental interest the present Act encourages and supports the production and use of cleaner fuels, such as ethanol and other biofuels. The purposes of the present Act are: a) to encourage and support the production and consumption of biofuels in Manitoba; and b) to ensure that biofuels and blended biofuels sold in Manitoba meet prescribed quality specifications. Section 4 establishes that no person shall manufacture a biofuel in Manitoba unless the person holds a valid licence issued by the Minister.The text consists of 22 sections divided into 4 Parts as follows: Definitions (1); Biofuel programme (2); Administration and enforcement (3); Miscellaneous (4).
