This Methodical Instruction establishes general requirements for organization of state radioecological monitoring of agricultural ecosystems in the impact area of radiation hazardous sites within 30-kilometre impact area. It shall be used as guidelines by state veterinary institutions and state agrochemical service. The obtained data shall be used for substantiation of rehabilitation of radioecological situation. The objectives of radioecological monitoring shall be: (a) detection of radioactive pollution of agricultural ecosystems; (b) registration of radioactive pollution level; (c) assessment of radiation and ecological state of agricultural ecosystems; (d) elaboration of recommendation for the prevention of radioactive pollution; and (e) provision of the executive bodies with reliable information on the current state of agricultural ecosystems.
