These Regulations are made under section 71 of the Environment Protection Act 1970. The Regulations prescribe premises as scheduled premises (as described in column 2 of Schedule 1) for the purposes of the Act, specify scheduled premises in respect of which the landfill levy and the environment protection levy are payable, and provide for exemptions from provisions of the Act.
