The Decree establishes the minimum standards and requirements that must be fulfilled during the procedures of official examination of fruit-trees, shrub trees and other small fruit plant varieties so as such cultivars can be registered into the National Catalogue of cultivated plants, fruit-trees, shrub trees and other small fruit plants. The characteristics to be covered as a minimum by the examination and the minimum conditions for examining such varieties are laid down in the guideline documents and the technical protocols listed in Annex I and II to this Decree.
