This Regional Law establishes legal grounds for production, procurement, processing, storage, trade and use of seeds of crops. It shall be applicable to seeds of plant varieties recorded in the State Register of Selection Achievements authorized for management and planting on the regional territory. Planting and sowing of seeds, contaminated or infected with pests or quarantine organisms, for plant or seed production shall be prohibited. Producers of seeds of agricultural crops must renovate timely plant and seed varieties, comply with technological requirements set for seed growing, use seeds complying with state standards and register the origin of seeds.
