This Ministerial Decree establishes that State Enterprise Kyrgyz balygy under Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyz Republic shall be the authorized state institution in the sphere of fisheries carrying out the following functions: (a) increase of fish production and setting up new aquaculture farms and enterprises; (b) quality improvement of fish products; (c) organization of procurement and supply to internal market of freshwater fishes either fresh or processed in the form of fish products; (d) organization of non-commercial artisanal and sport fishing in the inland waterbodies under its jurisdiction; and (e) allocates state fishery waterbodies to natural and legal persons for aquaculture, fisheries and stock enhancement.
