This Order, consisting of 45 articles and 13 Annexes, regulates administrative and technical procedures for Environmental Licensing of Wood Industry in the State of Maranhão. This Order does not apply to the Environmental Licensing of production and activities of the Wood Industry bigger than 5.000m2 and/or those considered potential cause of significant environmental degradation. In the case of the Environmental Licensing activity of industries they may require Prior Consultation to the State Secretariat of Environment and Natural Resources-EMS, with a view to determining the most appropriate procedures and environmental studies.
