This Regional Law regulates the issues of classification of land as protected areas of regional significance and management and protection thereof. The grounds for constitution of protected areas shall be presence of natural complexes and objects of particular environmental, scientific, historic, cultural, aesthetic, recreational, healthcare and other value. Regional protected areas shall be classified as follows: (a) nature reserves; (b) biosphere reserves; (c) nature monuments; (d) dendrological parks; and (e) botanical gardens. Organization and registration of protected areas shall be performed by the authorized state regional executive body.
