These Implementing Measures aim to ensure the safety of the imported foods. The Implementing Measures consist of 5 Sections: General provisions; Formulation of bad records; Risk early warning and control measures; Release of risk early warning; Supplementary Provisions. The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People’s Republic of China (AQSIQ) shall be responsible for the bad record administration on imported foods throughout the country. The entry-exit inspection and quarantine agencies of AQSIQ shall be in charge of collecting, verifying, and reporting imported food safety-related information, establishing bad records, and taking control measures for foods imported from food enterprises and related countries or regions with adverse records.
