This Government Regulation announces, in accordance with Directive 2008/98/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on waste and repealing certain Directives, the binding part of Waste Management Plan of the Czech Republic for the period 2015-2024, listed in the Annex. The binding part of the Waste Management Plan of the Czech Republic contains mandatory basis for the processing of regional waste management plans and for decision-making and other activities of administrative authorities, regions and municipalities relating to waste management. The binding part contains objectives, principles and measures to be taken into account by the environmental policy of the Czech Republic, European liabilities of the Czech Republic and needs of the current waste management in the Czech Republic. The binding part is based on the principle of respect for the waste management hierarchy.
