This Regulation establishes the general principles, requirements and responsibilities regarding the necessary consumer information issues regard to information related to the non pre-packed (unpacked) foods and foodstuffs, including information about the presence of substances or products that may cause allergies or intolerance. The provisions of this Regulation shall apply without any prejudice to the requirements related to the markings already prescribed by special provisions of the European Union.
