This Regional Law establishes that the scope of Regional specific program “Fresh water” for the period from 2012 to 2017 shall be to ensure supply of safe potable water, complying with water quality standards, to the regional population and rational management of freshwater resources, improvement of water supply to the population through application and introduction of innovative technologies of water quality control. It also envisages effluent waste water treatment with a view of purification thereof.
