This Act amends 2 CMC 5631 (as amended by Public Law No. 17-13) by allowing in First Senatorial District non-commercial fishing with specified fishing gear for Bigeye Scad (Atulai) and Juvenile Goat Fish (Tiao) during their seasonal run. Non-commercial purpose means fish caught for personal or immediate family use. Any sales or distribution beyond ones immediate family shall be a violation of this Act. The Act also specifies fees for mesh nets and requires the Rota Resident Director of the Department of Lands and Natural Resources to promulgate rules and regulations designating the period of the seasonal run for Atulai and Tiao and other necessary rules and regulations consistent with this Act.
