These Standards are determined pursuant to Article 6, Paragraph 2 of the Soil and Groundwater Pollution Remediation Act. Groundwater is classified into the two categories: Category 1: Groundwater in drinking water source protection areas; Category 2: Groundwater which is not of Category 1. The Standards set forth pollution control items and standard values for soil or groundwater pollution monitoring and control.
