This Act, consisting of 21 sections and one Schedule, grants the State Government the powers to control and regulate the production, movement, supply and distribution of certain commodities essential to the life of the community and for the control and regulation of trade and commerce therein, and for the maintenance, licensing and movement of cattle, and the licensing of dealers in such commodities and cattle. The Act also provides penalties for contravening provisions of this Act.
