These Measures are enacted to promote water-saving technological progress, improve the water efficiency of water-use products, and promote water-saving products. The Measures consist 5 Chapters: General Provisions; Implementation of Water Efficiency Labeling; Supervision and Inspection; Penalties; Supplementary Provisions. The "water efficiency label" refers to the pattern used to mark the product conforming to the performance of water products such as water efficiency grade through the way of adoption of corporate self-declaration and information filing. The Catalogue of Products for Implementation of Water Efficiency Labels in the People's Republic of China shall be formulated and published by the competent authorities, which indicates the appropriate range of products and the water efficiency standards. Any product listed in the Catalogue shall be marked with a water efficiency label and described in the product instruction manual. Producers and importers whose products are listed in the "Catalogue" should submit the water efficiency labels and related information to the China National Institute of Standardization for filing.
