Regulation on the establishment of a public institution "Agency for Intervention and Payment in the Field of Agriculture" determines the legal status, tasks, basic functions, powers, rights and organization of activities of a public institution “Agency for Intervention and Payments in the Field of Agriculture", a public institution based on self-financing, subordinated to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry. The Agency's task is to manage finances of the National Fund for Agricultural and Rural Development and resources of partners in the field of agricultural development allocated for distribution, and in performance of interventions in the field of agriculture in accordance with the law. The Agency shall perform the following functions: (a) administration of the National Fund for Agricultural and Rural Development and other funds destined for support of agriculture; (b) examination of applications for subsidies; (c) authorizes direct subsidies and payments; (d) onsite inspection of facilities for which investments have been requested; (e) accountability of all payments; and (f) promotion of projects financed by the National Fund for Agricultural and Rural Development.
