Regulation on the procedure for administering the Grape and Wine Registry establishes the procedure and mechanism for registration and accounting of the systematized information accumulated during the creation and maintenance of the Grape and Wine Registry of the Republic of Moldova for the purpose of registration and accounting of vineyards and wineries, and also sets forth the requirements for data protection during collection, accumulation, updating, storage, processing and authorized exchange of data with other information systems. Grape and Wine Registry shall be departmental and state register. Grape and Wine Registry is a systematized collection of data on grape areas with an area of more than 0.15 hectares, wine-making enterprises and traceable grape-vine products (grape harvest, the volume of produced and remaining wine and wine products). The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry shall be the owner of Grape and Wine Registry that consists of two data units: a data unit on vine plantations and a data unit on the wineries.
