Recommendation on Conservation and Management Measures for Deep Sea Rays (Rajiformes) in the NEAFC Regulatory Area (Rec. 11:2017).

This Recommendation of the North-East Atlantic Fisheries Commission, adopted in accordance with pursuant to Articles 5 of the NEAFC Convention, requires each Contracting Party to prohibit vessels flying its flag in the Regulatory Area from directed fishing for deep sea rays (as defined) are encouraged to take conservation measures with equal effect within waters under their national jurisdiction. Contracting Parties shall submit all data on deep sea rays available to ICES for further evaluation of the state of the stocks.
