This Administrative Regulation is enacted in accordance with the paragraph 5) of Article 50 of the Basic Law of the Macao Special Administrative Region. Article 2-4 and Article 17 of Administrative Regulation No. 14/2009 are amended. Article 15 A is added. The Department of Services on Environmental Protection is the public agency of the Macao Special Administrative Region responsible for the study, planning, implementation, co-ordination and promotion of environmental and energy policies (Article 2). The functions of the Department of Services on Environmental Protection include: to assist in formulating the environmental and energy policies of the Macao Special Administrative Region; to promote, coordinate and follow up the development of the energy industry; to promote and formulate development plans and plans for the energy industry, and to follow up and monitor their implementation; etc.
