The present Government Decree contains provisions on animal welfare when keeping broilers referred to in Section 6b of the Animal Welfare Act (1998:95). The Decree sets detailed requirements applicable to the breeding compartment, animal density, use of equipment, outdoor areas, feeding and access to water, good husbandry practices, inspections, reporting obligations, etc.
