The subject of this Agreement is cooperation between the Parties in the following areas: (a) sustainable development of small indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East of the Russian Federation living in the territory of the Republic of Tyva; (b) implementation of federal and regional programs adopted in the field of socio-economic and cultural development of small indigenous peoples; (c) creation of conditions necessary for the socio-economic and cultural development of small indigenous peoples, protection of their ancestral habitat, traditional way of life, management and crafts; (d) preparation and conduct of joint events in the field of socio-economic and cultural development of indigenous peoples; and (e) promoting increased social activity of indigenous peoples. The Parties: (a) organize and carry out information cooperation in all areas of activities related to the socio-economic and cultural development of small indigenous peoples; (b) carry out joint activities aimed at solving problems and protecting legitimate interests of small indigenous peoples; (c) hold regular meetings and mutual consultations to make decisions on issues affecting the interests of indigenous peoples; and (d) assist each other in working with the community of small indigenous peoples, including helping to reduce social tensions in places of traditional residence of small indigenous peoples of the Tuvan-Todzhin ethnic community.
